Burnbridge Wanderers Junior Football Club was founded on 1st June 1999, The club is a community and family based, England Football Accredited Club, that has been running successfully for over 20 years, providing facilities and competitive football for boys and girls aged from 5 years and upwards.

Our Club Today

Burnbridge Wanderers JFC strives to be one of the best youth football clubs in Somerset. We are a members club offering great youth football experience for all from the ages of under 6 to under 18.

We are a proud, well organised and well run club, affiliated to the Somerset Football Association and abides by the rules and constitution of this body.
The Club is 2 Star England Football Accredited; achieved by clubs who create the experiences and environments where players, coaches, officials, referees, volunteers and spectators can thrive.
We have the facilities, coaching staff and ethos of a great club and look to provide our players with a unique experience of youth football within the grassroots leagues, with all of our coaches being FA qualified.

The club is run on a voluntarily basis, but is assisted by individual, local and national businesses, who have generously provided sponsorship for the teams to supply much needed equipment, such as clothing, training aids and goals etc.

At the core of our identity is a family atmosphere where our children learn their football through encouragement and good coaching. Burnbridge Wanderers is a fun club for our children and of a size for parents to feel involved in running junior football. All of us have a great time whether playing, helping, organising or watching.

As a playing member of Burnbridge Wanderers, you can expect to enjoy a supportive environment to enjoy your sport. Burnbridge is a great family orientated club renowned for its quality of youth football provision for everyone, no matter what your ability. The club provides structured football training and matches in a safe, friendly environment, for both boys and girls.

The Chairman, officials and committee are committed and dedicated to building on the current success of the club with hopes to expand the club and its facilities further as Burnbridge Wanderers Junior Football Club continues to thrive & grow.

With this we currently run the following teams:

1. Mini Section comprising of:

Under 6s - Free weekly 5-a-side youth football training.
Under 7 & 8s - Weekly training and Playing 5-a-side matches in the Woodspring League & other county matches.
Under 9 & 10s - Weekly training and Playing 7-a-side in the Woodspring League & other county matches.

2. Junior Section comprising of:

Under 11 & 12s - Weekly training and Playing 9-a-side in the Woodspring League & other county matches.
Under 14 - Under 16s - Weekly training and Playing 11-a-side in the Woodspring or Taunton Leagues & other county matches.
Under 12-16s Girls - Weekly training and Playing 11-a-side in the Somerset Girls League & other county matches.
Under 18s - Weekly training and Playing 11-a-side in the Somerset U18s Sunday League & other county matches.
